Storage Beds
23 storage beds, from £299 to £1199. Most are ottomans: the whole base lifts on gas struts with the mattress on it, and the storage is the full footprint of the bed. A few super kings have four drawers built into the sides instead; each product page says which.
Fabric, velvet, boucle, faux leather and wood, in sizes from single to super king. Every frame lists its outside size and headboard height.

Ottoman or drawers
Ottoman or drawers: pick by where your free floor is
A drawer bed needs clear floor beside it for the drawers to pull out, and it only stores what fits in the drawers. An ottoman needs clear space only at the foot, or along one side on a side lift, and it stores under the whole bed. If the bed sits against a wall, an ottoman usually wins; if the foot end is tight, drawers do.
Headboards here run from 84 to 130 cm from the floor.

Storage Beds, answered
How much can a storage bed hold?
An ottoman stores under the full footprint of the bed. None of our makers publishes the depth under the base, so we do not convert it into litres; in practice it takes duvets, pillows, spare bedding and suitcases.
Is a storage bed hard to open?
No. The gas struts carry the weight of the base and the mattress, so it lifts with one hand and stays open on its own.
Do storage beds come in super king?
Yes, a few. Super king ottomans are harder to source than king size, and the ones we stock are listed on the super king ottoman beds page.
