Before you order
Upholstered frames are wider than the mattress by more than you think
Outside widths here run from 160.5 to 175 cm for the king size versions against a 150 cm mattress. The padding goes round the frame, so an upholstered bed takes more floor than a metal one of the same mattress size: our metal king size frames start at 153.5 cm. Measure the wall before you order, not after.
Headboards run from 84 to 130 cm from the floor, which is what makes an upholstered bed good to lean against.

Upholstered Bed Frames, answered
Fabric, velvet or boucle?
Flat fabric is the easiest to keep clean. Velvet has a pile that catches light and shows marks until you brush them out. Boucle is a looped, textured fabric that hides wear well but can snag on a watch strap.
Can I clean an upholstered bed?
A soft brush attachment on the vacuum once a month, and blot spills rather than rubbing. None of these covers is removable, and no abrasive or solvent cleaner should go near them.
Is faux leather better for children or pets?
It wipes clean, which fabric does not. It can scratch under claws, which fabric hides better. There is no single right answer.
