A 6ft wooden frame is wider than you think
These frames measure 190 to 194 cm wide on the outside against a 180 cm mattress, because solid timber sides are thicker than a steel tube. Add 75 cm each side for two walkways and you need a room well over three metres wide. Measure the wall before you order.
Headboards run from 93 to 104 cm from the floor.

Is it really solid oak?
Each product page quotes the maker's own description of the timber. Where the maker says solid North American white oak, we print that; where a finish is oak over veneer, we say so. We do not upgrade a description.
Will a super king wooden bed creak?
Timber moves with the room, so a bolt that was tight in a cold room can loosen in a warm one. Tighten every bolt after a fortnight and a creak almost always goes away.
Does a European 180 x 200 mattress fit?
Yes. The UK super king and the European super king are both 180 x 200 cm.
