Room check
Measure the ceiling before the floor
In king size these frames take 152.4 to 162.6 cm of floor width, close to a plain metal bed, because the posts sit at the corners of the frame; each product page gives the super king width too.
Height is what decides: the post height is on each product page. Measure your ceiling, and any beam, sloping wall or light fitting above where the bed will stand, before you order.

Four Poster Beds, answered
Can I hang curtains or drapes on these frames?
The canopy rail joins the four posts at the top. The product pages do not give a load for fabric hung from it, so treat it as a frame for light drapes only, and ask us before hanging anything heavy.
Do four poster beds need a high ceiling?
They need a ceiling higher than their posts, with a margin to assemble them. Each product page gives the post height from the floor; compare it with your own ceiling measurement.
Which mattress fits?
A standard UK king (150 x 200 cm) or super king (180 x 200 cm) mattress, depending on the size you order.
