Description
The Mortlake is a classic wooden bed at standard height, made to order in the UK: a Yorkshire workshop builds each frame by hand in solid pine or solid oak. It has a 95 cm headboard, a 40 cm foot end and 25 cm of clear space underneath for storage boxes or drawers.
Made in king size and super king size, in the same design.

How the Mortlake compares
We sell five beds from this workshop. All five come in solid pine or solid oak, in the same six finishes, and are made to order.
- Teddington: low frame about 20 cm from the floor, 75 cm headboard, 20 cm foot end.
- Eltham: ottoman with a gas lift base and about 22 cm of storage, 84 cm headboard, king size only.
- Osterley: four poster, 95 cm headboard and 40 cm foot end, 25 cm clear underneath.
- Barbican: Japanese style platform with no headboard, 15 to 20 cm high.
